Welcome to “ The Land of Smiling People” - North Sulawesi Province . It inhabited by three major ethnic groups; Minahasa, Bolaang Mongondow and Sangir Talaud and owns different culture background. Thinking and speaking about North Sulawesi will bring you to imagine of the world-class diving and snorkeling spots. However, North Sulawesi is not just about diving, but there are more else to do : volcano trekking, white water rafting and a variety of historic & cultural attractions to keep all ages captivated. Nani Wartabone National Park, Gunung Ambang and Tangkoko National Park keep Sulawesi' s endemic animals like Anoa ( dwarf buffalo) , Babi Rusa ( a wild boar with tusk growing through the roof of its mouth) , black tailless macaques, Cuscus, Maleo Bird which incubates its 250gram eggs ( six times bigger then chicken eggs) in mounds of soil warmed sunlight, hot springs or volcanic area. Tarsier ( Tarsius Spectrum) the smallest monkey in the world with its head and body length of just 15 cm, a tail twice long as the body, enormous eyes and weight just 150 gram, red knobbed Hornbill, and many Sulawesi' s endemic birds. For bird watcher, these are reliable places to visit.
